Yes, agreed, but they really would have no choice. I am sure you would agree that allowing a crisis of confidence to develop, and we are close, would have unspeakable consequences.

Just print more and lower. It's gonna be one hell of a nasty business when it stops working. Some would argue that it has already stopped working, but I do not take this view (just yet -g).
