Don, It seems that the NASDAQ market data displayed in candlesticks from the 21st until today looks more like NOISE than revealing any significant information. Should not one have clearer picture for a trend in order to determine if a reversal or continuation is likely? What I am asking is can patterns that may be developing for 2-3 days that fail in succession yield any information until some sort of trend shows itself? For example, the NASDAQ from Dec.12 to Dec.21 shows a real downtrend but from Dec. 21 to present looks like NOISE to me with no patterns developing that can be used to predict or anticipate the future with the HAMMER today. I realize you stress the reversal needs confirmation which I understand. When there is such a randomness(to my eye) as we have seen the past week I am curious whether or not one more expert in such matters as you can discern and extract any information. GH

Don, some more fuel for the OEX fire: My down trend line for tomorrow is at 700 and also the Fib 50% retracement on this last little drop is at 698.

If we continue to honour the down trend line and if the up trend line holds tomorrow we will arrive at the apex of the pennant (681)Jan 29, 2001! When did you say the next Fed meeting was? Gosh I hate coincidences! ggg
