Kit, I agree that the models don't work, but, then, they were developed by academics, so they aren't supposed to work in the real world. <g> I am looking for another upside blowoff. I have a few puts, but am not fully loaded yet. I have a huge number of bear spreads, but the bull spreads are starting to make their presence felt in the portfolio.

I disagree with the problem areas he points out, as I don't believe they have much to do with the derivatives game. These guys are too diversified to be hurt by anything other than a national crisis. Remember, the biggest bank in Calif. is run out of North Carolina. And the Calif. electricity melt down is easily solved: simply place a one-time surtax on all the assets valued at over $1 million in Silicon Valley. <VBG>
