contquistordor,
I'm an opera man, we may have to wait for other experts to arrive but just to clarify do you mean that you get a second window or a second instance of explorer ?
Basically do you have one explorer on the task bar with two windows or two explorers each with one window?

" the browser goes to the linked site, bringing up another IE, but all I get is the minimized box, not the full page. I have to click on the maximize box to bring it up"

I use IE 4.0 ...

Click View and select Internet Options ...

Click Advanced tab.

Under Browsing heading, check box for Open Browser in Full Screen.

Click Apply.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. In later versions of IE, this stuff is found under Tools instead of View.
