Thats correct, I start out with one Explorer running, if I go somewhere and click on a link, it brings up the linked site, which is minimized, with a small red bar on the screen. I than must manually bring up the linked browser. Before it would display the full linked page automatically.

So tell what happens when you do this..
Right click on a link and select 'open in new window'
and release.
