Hi Jon, well I suppose they have to get their digging done while they can, but it's a last ditch <gg> effort. Once the city is a fiber-glass mesh, there'll be no point in this perpetual "copper strip-mining."

Fiber is a natural monopoly. Nothing can compete with it. The first one to build it as an open fabric will be the last one. Therefore it makes no sense to build it any other way. Cities can and are endorsing this concept.
