Walkingshadow, thanks for responding to my question about 'max pain,' and, thanks for your post #8661.

I hesitate to ask you or any of the other very helpful people on the board any more questions at this point - you and Sig have been more than gracious to now. But, honestly, I am apparently missing something important and it is driving me 'buggy.' I have linked below to the site you referenced and (hopefuly) the Orcl data from 1/9/01. It may be I am just dumb; I'd like to think not but ...! So, if you or someone else wouldn't mind, why is 22.5 the key level rather than strike prices of 15, or 25 or 27.5 or 35? (Any one example would suffice.)

I apologize to you and other thread participants if this appears boorish. Thanks for any help.
