she broke no laws Harboring an illegal immigrant is a violation of the law. After 3 months, she was told the lady had no documents. Chavez allowed her to stay there for two years. For two years, the illegal lived with Chavez and did chores for which she was paid. Chavez conduct gives us a good picture of how she would enforce the labor laws.

Her mistake was also that of harbouring an illegal alien (if true) is breaking the law. Now let us see the pompous a** uphold the law that he spoke of during the campaign trail, rather than spinning it to say that she was being compassionate. I know of few legal venezualan immigrants, who are less fortunate. May be Chavez can take them in too.
