Bob, I would contact Firetalk support and see what they suggest. You might need to download something from them. I don't understand why you don't have the DLL you need.

Bruce

go to:

I don't use Firetalk but the scenario you are seeing is caused by one of two things:

1 - Firetalk couldn't update your MFC42.DLL when it did its install. Try rebooting your computer and loading only as little software as is required to reinstall firetalk. Reboot. Any better?

2 - You have another copy of MFC42.DLL in your path. Use Find in Windows Explorer to find it. You will probably find a few copies. I recommend renaming all copies EXCEPT the one in your Windows system directory. Call the ones you rename MFC42.DLL.HOLD or something like that so you can find them again should removing them break something else on your system.

You might also note the dates on the files. If the newest version is not the one in Windows system, copy the newest one to that directory. You may get an error message saying that the File Is In Use - if so, rename the one in Windows system, and copy the newer file to that directory. Reboot.

Does it work?

Good luck!
