I always read your posts and appreciate your contribution. It seems, however, you might be exaggerating to make your point. Intel must plan years in advance; they hustle to fine tune their earlier projections; they are trying to lead the industry and ride the waves at the same time. I think they do an extraordinarily good job of going where the market will be. They aren't perfect but they seem to adjust and move on. Committing billion dollar fabs and personnel to projects and products that take years to develop is not an easy task.

I recognize that you make valid points. Just think you are, sometimes, overly harsh.

Do you really think Intel does nothing but lumber?
