Chavez is toast. Never mind the Democrats, the GOP moderates are going to abandon her en masse. She gave them an easy out from incurring the wrath of labor. The Bush folks have undoubtedly already started looking for a replacement. Now that the Bush team, with the appointment of Rumsfeld, has proven that cryogenics is not just a fanciful theory, maybe they can thaw out some labor undersecretary from the Nixon or Ike administration.
