I got a weird problem with my Mom's computer (my old computer).
It's buzzing and the hard drive, A drive and D drive lights
are blinking. When I reboot the buzz stops for about 7
minutes then returns. After 10 minutes of buzzing the buzz stops
for a while then returns. The PC has a pentium 233 with
Win 98 1st edition and 128 sdram. The first few times I tried
to get online during after the buzz started I couldn't but
after a few reboots I was able to get online. Another problem
this PC has which may be related is a memory leak which
started last week. 3 browser windows were using up over 100
RAM with nothing else open besides Explorer, Systray and
Cprbrwtch. After trying for 2 days to find the source of
the memory leak I gave up and reformatted the harddrive.
For a week everything was fine, yesterday the leak returned.
Right after booting with only Explorer, Systray and Cprbrwtch
open about 1/2 the memory was only available. My best guess
is bad RAM. Currently I have 128 RAM in one slot I was going
to try the old RAM, 32 RAM a piece in 2 slots to see if that
made a difference unless anyone here had a better idea.
I have all ready done a standard scan disk and am about
to do a thorough scan disk. Afterwards I'll check back here.

HELP!!!!!!

and a pre thanks for any help offered.

Hello Mark, yep, the bridge is still there, I am over in Bucks County, Pa, north of Reedmans and the Oxford Valley Mall, do you still have family around here. Was in Trenton On New Years Eve for dinner, at Diamonds in the Burg.
