The biggest problem with being critical of the Fed is that it is impossible to prove the intentions of bankers, speculators, investment houses, politicians, and the Federal Reserve itself - even though the system seems so poor (and occasionally borderline despicable) to hard money guys like us.

The general public swallows the party line about the Fed being a beneficial institution hook, line, and sinker. For that matter so do a lot of very well intentioned and extremely bright economists. Their gibberish is taught at the best learning institutions in America.

Given that reality, it's impossible to separate the bad guys from the dumb guys from the ignorant guys. :-)
