DMP: I just left the party with a small profit. I just may reconsider my position about not day trading.

That down channel we have been seeing since Sept. for today's close lies as follows:

upper bound: 2748
lower bound: 2088
middle of channel: 2418

looks like we will finish near the middle of the channel. If the NASDAQ moves 330 points either direction from here, we will still be in the BEAR market channel. GH

Everyone on CNBC keeps saying that economic and earnings concerns will prevail over rate cuts until there's noticeable improvement in the fundamentals. That tells me history should hold here, and they'll all be caught with their overpaid pants down.
