i think the worry with credit card companies is that growth will fail to outpace defaults in coming quarters, which would mean trouble for this little corner of modern Ponzi finance.

heck they look unassailable to me -- COF got three downgrades and it has taken over a week to sink back towards 60 ... what don't folks understand about "slowdown" or "recession" or "layoffs"?
