I am an "immigrant". I can speak on behalf of other "immigrants" and "little guys" that Chavez was by no means a champion of their cause. It seems to me, that she just exploited "immigrant's" plight to extract services at a much lower cost.
Good riddance!!

Great post JDN. The liberals will force the nation to settle for someone less interested in the little guy. Hopefully she will get another office.

Re: "Ms. Chavez was a tireless worker for the "little guy":

In fact, the Bush transition team jettisoned Ms. Chavez in record time because she failed to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help the INS.

Last night the Repubs on "loudmouth TV" (CNN, MSNBC et al) were portraying Ms. Chavez as another Statue of Liberty, taking in the huddled masses of Central America yearning to breathe free air in the suburbs of our nation's capital. Tonight they were singing a different tune, even Mitch McConnell.

I only have one question:

How many loads of laundry did this disenfranchised illegal alien yearning to breathe free do for the Chavez household ... that is, when Ms. Chavez wasn't personally chauffeuring her to her English lessons?

(a) 1,000 to 2,000.

(b) More than 2,000.
