Elizabeth, the EDIG web site is quite specific in saying that the Flashback was the first recorder that utilizes "removable" flash memory. And has "removable" underlined.

Perhaps they made a mistake in their 1995 press release, and corrected it later. It is quite possible that there were other products already on the market which they were not aware of at the time.

Perhaps somebody should ask Fred or Robert during their daily phone calls?

You haven't proven Mark right - you have just shown that, in 1995, EDIG THOUGHT or CLAIMED that they had the first recording using flash memory. Subsequent statements, though (the current EDIG web site) contradict that assertion.

Speculate, if you will, on the "peculiarity" of my posting here, but, in any case, it is off-topic discussion, which has been over-discussed ad-infinitum. You'd be better served, IMO, by sticking to the subject.

who for several years has diligently bashed the Woody Norris companies - EDIG and PTSC. Rather peculiar, don't you think??

Not at all. I have been bashing Woody Norris companies for years. I know other people who have also. Not peculiar at all. :)
