<<Of today's gains, most of it was from the January Effect on the microcaps>> - these have been strong for the last week...large percentage gains. Now if we believe the old adage "as goes the first week of January, so goes the month",...the little guys should continue to run...

Looking to add a bit more CORL..."big announcement" on the Jan 23rd...I'm expecting a positive trend till then...

Rande,

I couldn't wait two months to come back!:-)

I feel the urge to contribute now!

While not being a financial advisor, I believe now would be a good time to buy SNDK. Listen to the CEO's ON24 interview when you have a chance. He calmed my greatest fear, pricing pressures.

I would still think that any sharp upward movement would come off a day where news is at its worst. . . this gives short-sellers a false sense of security. . .and makes the perfect time for a dogpile-style short-squeeze burst on record volume.

Probably more prescient than even you know. I have looked at the charts of a bevy of stocks tonight. I think there are an awful lot of companies which may be due a short slide, but it sure looks to me like nearly every one is further poised for a more significant move up. Perhaps it will be the MOT earnings report and the concomitant announcement of future prospects (though quarter's earnings should be fairly close to projections, outlook for the next couple quarters is a little bleak. I doubt, however, MOT mgt will say much that isn't already fully digested). We may well be poised for a knee jerk reaction, but if I were a betting man, it would be that it won't keep this market down.

Since MOT won't report until after market closes tomorrow, it may be some other catalyst in the morning. But this market is extremely oversold, the troops are bearish as hell, nobody trusts an up move and we are due one.

Sorry for so many posts in a row, but how ridiculous can this get? I mean we have obvious shorters coming out and giving play by play of the futures after the market closes, like they are hoping for some kind of warning from some big cap, trying to put fear into people.

Gimme a F%$#ing break!! This almost sounds like Jan 2000 in reverse. "Watch out folks, AMZN is going to $200, QCOM going to $400!!!"

Well, this may not be total bottom, but we have to be close.
