It is very appropriate that Chavez steps down. As US Labor Secretary, she would be sworn to uphold US Labor Law. Since the US Government aggressively prosecutes and fines companies which employ illegal aliens (or those who even fail to adequately check on new employee status), that would be a bit of a conflict, wouldn't it? Bush would be better off if his cabinet is completely wihout bad baggage....IMHO.
