I can't think of any other reason other than lack of candor, because what was reported wasn't sufficient to disqualify her. Maybe she had a history of having third world type women doing housework and getting paid under the table? I suspect that a lot of women of a certain class have the same problem - who wants to pay Social Security tax, it's a hassle! Pay them under the table, then they don't have to pay tax and they can get government benefits. As for me, I've never had a maid. If you saw my house, you'd know I was telling the truth. We do clean house every so often, and I try to ignore the dust and fingerprints in the interims. My parents have always had a maid - I have no idea whether they pay Social Security and all the rest of it - and I am not about to ask!
