I do most of my trading through REDI and INCA, all marketable orders through REDI or SOES except when going out of market. I try to stay away from ISLD and ARCA to avoid odd lot fills whenever possible and due to slowness in the case of the latter. Unfortunately the link to INCA is rather slow too and IB still has not lived up to their promise of upgrading it.

bhruz - I use to use BE when I first started with IB. It's okay for stocks that don't move quickly but absolutely useless for anything moving quickly which is what I'm trading now. ISLD is working excellent for me. In fact I'm now only putting ISLD as my exchange to use and I just watch my quotes service to watch the prices then pick my entry/exit points. I've tried REDI but have not found it to be as responsive as ISLD and I've not tried Instinet. I'm looking forward to dli's response (he knows a lot). I would be interested in which ECNs are the best to use on highly liquid fast moving stocks. Thanks for your question. John.
