I don't think the next generation Palms are ready to play MP3, unless...

1) Dragonball moves up in MHz greatly, or
2) Palm opts for a non MP3 format.

I find it unusual that nobody
has posted what they have seen
at the Palm Pavillion at CES.
Why all the secrecy?

Also, do you need the core processor
to play MP3 files or just to access
the memory card? My understanding of
earlier Palm generations was that they
didn't support FAT files, thus no add-on
flash could be supported. This was either
due to the limitations of the Dragonball
or limitations of the Palm OS. But
wouldn't playing MP3 just require memory
card support and a DSP? Why does the core
processor get involved at all?
