I totally agree flats that the November fleece seriously exacerbated the situation, but we had brownouts last summer too without that, and several Stage 2 alerts even after they brought many of the generators back on-line in December/January.

Even with the generators back up, natural gas price isn't capped to end users, only electricity is, and gas is used widely for heating here. The December power bills should come in a few days, then the fun begins. I bet that will help coordinate the energy conservation !

One story had a greenhouse business monthly gas bill that would have gone from the usual $34,000 to $290,000, so it shut down instead. Another went from $3,500 to $24,000. It's the hard working little guy and small business owner who will get burned most by this.
