We had that discussion somewhere, maybe here, or feelies? It does have an impersonal feel- but then writing a check to the cancer society feels just as impersonal for me. Your other point- well, more of an implication- is that it really costs us nothing, although what a funny thought, we could deduct for clicks- like 1000 clicks = a 10.00 deduction.
OH yeah? Show us that receipt, buddy.
I don't consider this as charity though. So it doesn't have to cost me actual dollars. Although I don't think that charity has to involve money; I see it as more of an attitude, too, and that we look for ways to help however we can, with financial giving probably being one of the more easily measured and praised.
What's really bad, is that, as easy as it is, I forget to do it.
That's really embarrassing to admit.
I'll see you later-- I am going to go click for a while, save a few rainforests and feed a nation a two.
