Their are an awful lot of low P/E stocks that have had analysts project that far in the future. I understand that. But just looking at the talk on this thread about QCOM's future - WCDMA etc - it's clear that a great many people in this stock are looking out over a multi-year horizon. There's nothing wrong with that. As for talking down a stock...you can ask the flip question about talking up a stock...aren't they're just trying to get a better price to bail out at? I think we're in agreement that unless you're a client of GS or whoever their analysts are not issuing statements for our benefit.
