IT sounds like a personal transport system that is powered with clean power like solar or maybe H2O based system. The Metro model is probably for the cities or short distances and the pro is for longer distances. The ''meeting with city planners, regulators, legislators, large commercial companies and university presidents about how cities, companies and campuses can be retro-fitted for Ginger.'' probably implies some set up for charging the "batteries" (or IT) when they wind down.
