Jeff, I agree with you. The issue is that the FED fell asleep at the switch and then was forced by the republicans not to lower interest rates in September, as the republicans until now blame AG for Shrub Senior loosing election. Now they can claim that he help Shrub junior win elections.

The right thing to do was to lower rates 1/4 point each month with the sliding oil prices and by now to be around 5 1/2 %

Xmass would not been such a disaster.
