Kayaker -- I think we're seeing a big divergence not only between old and new but on the new side between infrastructure/B2B and retail/wannaB. MOT earnings will be dismissed because expectations were so low going in and YHOO's will be dismissed because they're on the retail/wannaB side of the equation. Actually unfair in Yahoo's case b/c they're succeeding in building a strong customer base even though they haven't found a way to make a profit. It's very possible optical networking (also known as NextGeneration networks) will be the leaders in the weeks and months ahead. If Greenspan cooperates, and the creek don't rise, we could get this train out of the station one more time. There's a lot riding on NT, ALA, JDSU, SDLI, GLW, and even the younger and/or supporting players like JNPR, PMCS, and AMCC. Once more unto the breach. . . Pat
