Do you know I thought you really were writing about this experience until I got to the onion-ending!! And the reason I thought so is because this very thing happened to X a year ago. It was traumatic. X is an exceptional E-bay buyer and seller, holding I'm sure the highest ranks in the E-bay hierarchy of buyers and sellers. Until some horrible, disgusting excuse for a human, with no basis, violated all the rules of etiquette that make e-bay the civilized and orderly world it is, and wrote something negative. I held X's cyberhand as she wept and suffered; I was concerned for her sanity. I should have known of course, that one should NEVER mess with X's E-bay reputation. And yes, she took that person to the woodshed. He was history, and had to skulk away, humiliated. X's good name was fully restored. But it was still a difficult time. I hope she doesn't mind my sharing that.
