And when a grieving father confronted him on that role he insulted the dead soldier, claimed it was his own fault the fool got killed, and showed his father the door.

They were safe under Bush, Clinton changed the plan and got those soldiers killed.

<< What a jerk you are. >>

Me? I didn't send our troops to Somalia, Bush senior did.

<< Clinton was calling for troops to be sent to Somalia. >>

Clinton would not have sent troops to Somalia. Noone was seriously advocating this. George Bush did it, after losing to Clinton. A coincidence?

<< They were safe under Bush, Clinton changed the plan and got those soldiers killed. >>

Nonsense. What makes you say that our troops were safe in Somalia? Clinton was wrong in not pulling our troops out immediately, but Bush set the dangerous "trap", and Clinton fell into it. Unfortunately, and sadly, many of our best died over there.

Ish, what about Powell's role in this episode? After Aidid attacked the Pakastanis it was Powell as military chief of staff who advised Clinton to take military action to get Aidid and then retired and said nothing after his recommended course of action ended up in those deaths.

Regards,

Don
