Okay, I'll bite. This is essentially a wild guess, based on what little anecdotal evidence I have uncovered. Ginger is a very small, lightweight, battery-operated vehicle operated by a driver sitting upright and using a simple one-handed control. The technology is based on the same principles as the IBOT: gyroscopes provide positional and momentum data to the CPU, which maintains equilibrium and velocity. There are two models: Metro and Pro. Metro is for urban commuting and can be used in the bicycle lane. Pro is larger and can carry passengers and cargo. If my wild guess is close, Kamen has been prudent in maintaining secrecy about the project. Ginger is a huge threat to the gasoline and automobile industries. Big Oil would assassinate him in a heartbeat if they knew what he were up to. Dave

I can see from your alias why IT would be important to you. When I was but a mere child IT was an idiom that was personified by a machine that hung from the ceiling, like a mobile in an infant's crib. The "IT" device actually came to be known more popularly as a $#!+ Fit Inducer <TM>.

Looks like an Individual Transporter (IT) that uses his wheel chair technology and a Stirling engine that could run on alternate energy sources, but also on fossil fuels. This embodiment has a support for supporting the subject. A ground-contacting module, movably attached to the support, serves to suspend the subject in the support over the surface.
