Another patent.....for us longs........
With over 500 patents in the works...I expect
a lot more to come over time....

Randy expected this one to double when it was
$5.oo...Well I'm looking for a triple by year's
end..this is my opinion only....

Remember,,,In the draw with the baseball cards..

Newman went on to say, ``This set of patents demonstrates our ability to anticipate the
need of the market and file applications to secure our position within that market. The
speed in which these patents were allowed is remarkable and is testimony to the hard work
performed by our counsel and staff in the U.S. and in Japan. We further expect this patent
portfolio to be a source of revenues not just for wearable systems, but in the broader
arenas of computing as well.'' James J. Ralabate, patent counsel to Xybernaut Corporation
also stated, ``these two patents further enhance our already impressive world-wide patent
portfolio.''

Xybernaut(R) Granted New
Patents in USA and Japan

Modular Computer Architecture Seen as Breakthrough Architecture

FAIRFAX, Va., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Xybernaut Corporation has been granted a set
of patents covering user-supported modular computers in both the USA and Japan. This
marks the second major utility patent granted to Xybernaut in Japan. The patent will enable
the Company, its licensees or even individual customers, to design and put together a
``Lego®-like'' user- supported computer from building blocks of components.

Additionally, each ``Lego-like'' building block had its thermal dissipation characteristics
specific to the component already built into the block, thus allowing the mixing and matching
of components to meet the needs of the user and optimizing the size and power
requirements of each block.

``This is really a breakthrough architecture that we believe will find its way into a number of
products for the business and consumer markets,'' Edward G. Newman, Chairman and
CEO of Xybernaut stated, ``It allows the supplier or end-user to custom-design the
computer for the moment, the day, the job or mood, and change or supplement the system
as simply as plugging in new or replacement modular components.''
