That analogy is a good argument for diversification. An aircraft carrier fighting alone is a huge sitting duck. If it's not part of a task force, forget it; it's going down. But if you have every ship in the flotilla, you might lose a few in the battle but you're bound to win the war.

How would Steve Kamman classify JDSU which has acquired many destroyers, et al, lately?
