Laverne,

For some scenarios to make your skin crawl, visit:

comstockfunds.com

cross-currents.net

prudentbear.com

fiendbear.com

safehaven.ca

The consensus of opinion on these sites is that Big Al's easing will be pushing on a string, a la Japan. They just might be dead wrong, but lots of interesting articles. I particularly enjoy the European perspective of our situation.

Leo, I agree with the adage "Don't fight the Fed".

A.G. is playing a balancing act cutting rates and yet doesn't want to be perceived pushing on a string. This is the way the market acted after it pulled back immediately the days after the rate cuts..If tomorrow's retail sales are bad could he cut fed funds another 25 basis points prior to Jan 30-31 FOMC meeting??

Best Regards, J.T.
