those activists that you speak about who have had the real clout to stop plant sitings include suburban corporate NIMBY's with 2 suv's, the power producers who lobbied to shut down new plant auctions in the early 90s when we had a 30% power surplus, and even that good republican John Chambers of Cisco, which wants to stop a new plant being built next to its new San Jose office, lol!

Yeah, I am too. In my neck of the woods they're largely Republican as best I can tell and they're certainly Republican in the out-lying areas where the independent generators want to build those new plants to feed the out-of-state SMSA.

Reps to plant builders/operators: "GFY!"
