There is something terribly stupid in that they cannot understand that in an election this close, it is impossible to determine the will of the people, there are too many variables, and therefore it may as well be brought to an end. Under prevailing rules, Bush won. The Supreme Court decision was sound, and certainly no more subject to debate than many others.

After that, the good of the country should prevail over partisan rancor........
