George - I believe that is changing. After a long period in the wilderness free market economists increasingly own the intellectual heights. The bad news is that it may take another generation to finish weeding out the pernicious influence of earier Samuelson, Heilbroner, et al. I hope you are right. However, the intellectual heights are, and will remain, engulfed in clouds as long as a cabinet nominee can be attacked as opposing the minimum wage, and having it sound as if she were the owner/operator of a child-abusing day care center.
