How about this? Perhaps Clinton is trying to bait Bush into similar retaliatory partisan comments. Then he uses those retorts to rally sentiment against Bush and to justify pardoning himself and his wife on his last day in office.

What would happen if fisticuffs broke out between the principals at the swearing-in ceremony of GWB? Wait, that couldn't happen; WJC wouldn't start it, he's a coward (er, I mean pacifist). Although if he did, he would wag his finger and tell us that he never had hostile relations with that president. If GWB started it WJC would just head for Canada. Chas ps. what would the two Secret Service details do?
