I understand your rationale but I do not think we will see this kind of choreography from the newly combined company until after the deal closes and a few months of true merger activity. I really think the slowdown of PC sales caught the industry flat footed and it was too late to turn off supply lines completely. While 2.5 inch drives will likely continue to see brisk sales, the desktop arena is highly suspect for Q1, and possibly extending into Q2, IMO. Having said all this I note that Quantun HDD has been buoyant in this little rally we just closed the third day of. I agree with the rest of your post however, believing there will be a return to profitability in the group.
