Now E:

I know your a great trader / investor but don't get suckered into this nice counter trend bear market rally. We may have legs to go to 3,500 (need to cross a few thresholds first) but this is the rally to trade or sell into. Its still not the time to set up some long term buy and holds.

Now away from my gloom and doom. Any good straight gold stock plays besides HM.

Tim

E! --- Semis and semi capital equipment, imho, are well worth the play....and I think the institutions are making their play early. SMH might be the way to play it...that chart looks great. My own thought was that the techs are still risky, especially the PC and wireless stocks. But the companies which allow chips to be produced --- those are my targets. So DPMI is good, CYMI, LTXX, AMAT, even KLIC (which I own), etc. I haven't looked at the ones like GSNX that also are necessary to the semi "process"...
Nice of you to come up with all those favorable thoughts...but I got creamed last fall -- my worst year since 1978. However, this comeback for LTXX, CYMI, SSTI, KOPN, ELNT, etc...has nearly made me well (gasp). starting to raise a little cash (was out on margin in late Dec)...
I DO fear a retest of lows at some point here, with no sure path upward until we get better visibility on the second half recovery... so I'm being "fully invested cautious"....

Thanks for that thought on SMH... I expect to use SMH a little later...had forgottne about that as an option...
