knkesh, I think the negative impact of this deal, lasted a day.

Hitachi is a small customer of Avanex. As of yesterday, there was no evidence that Avanex will be a large supplier of optical equipment, for this deal.

The way I saw the contract, the equipment to be supplied was more for the long haul sector.

If I am correct, then once mkt realizing the above, it wouldn't have been so concerned, about a missed opportunity, as Avanex's main area of focus is the metro area, not the long haul.

I could have it wrong, thats just what I was able to come up with. shaw

Looked at U.S. Office of Patents and Trademarks for clues, since I seemed to be trading AVNX without one. The "mux" suffix runs throughout Hitachi's recent 2 optical patents:
