If it comes to "milking the currently installed systems" because of economic slowdown, I'd think it would favor Qualcomm. 1X offers great performance advantages over 2G, and doesn't require a whole new infrastructure for existing cdma carriers.

No, because my horizon is the next ten years. We'll likely have as many as a few up-and-down cycles in the economy during that time.
