idealist1...I personally bought 2 Dell computers in the last 3 months..The first one was for my mother but she chickened out at the last minute so I kept it for myself (an upgrade from my old one). The second one was for my mother in law, but only after we ordered a Gateway, but cancelled the order 2 days later because they never confirmed my e-mail so I wasn't sure if they got the order.
They answered my e-mail 6 days later to tell me that they were looking for my order, then 2 hours later they e-mailed me again to tell me the computer was on its way. We told UPS to take it back to Gateway after it took 10 days to get to us.................When I ordered the Dell they confirmed my order immediately and the computer was at my house in 3 days........

The motto of this story = Dell we be just fine............

Sorry for rambling on....
Shoreco...
