I assume that your sarcasm indicates you don't think a deteriorating relationship between Washington and Beijing is a possibility or that it could have an effect on trade with China or QCOM's ability to sell CDMA to the Chinese. Right?

I'm sorry but I believe that the history of QCOM's efforts in China indicate that politics is very much a relevant factor in its prospects there.

There is also good reason to believe that the Bush administration's plans to deploy new missile defense systems will adversely affect our relations with China, including our trading relationships.

You seem to dismiss those concerns. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion but I think the concern is a real one.
