I see a stock floundering in the same mire it was lost in back in 1984. Probably the worst technology investment anyone made. Not surprising considering the second class technology AMD is trying to peddle.

I feel like Charlie Brown. I see Lucy holding the football and egging me on to kick it. She promises this time is different. She is not going to pick up the ball just before I'm about to kick it. She has been playing this same game with me for over thirty years, and each time I want to believe in her. But, alas...

I am not one to beleive that this is a zero sum game. I believe that AMD and Intel could coexist quite nicely. In fact I think Intel needs an AMD to spur things on and keep the adrenalin going in a natural way.

In the same way, I don't think Intel has to see SUNW go down in flames. SUNW could serve as an advanced missionary party - to spread the word and and find new was to server.
