You had faith in the misinformation, aka lies, you had been disseminating for what was it, seventeen years? Fourteen? But wise analysis and understanding proved to you -- and you ADMITTED it -- that what you had been claiming was false. One doesn't need debating skills to tell the truth. Common sense helps. I have often wondered if you have ever tried to correct the information that organization puts out. But since you yourself asked what was wrong with LYING to "SAVE LIVES???", I suppose I know the answer. Yeah, real shame I can't hang out with you and JLA. I'll just have to live with the pain, somehow.
