Lewinsky-Blow-Hard - Re: "AMD's shipments are FLAT !
Were flat. Q4 was the last quarter for AMD to be battling in the value segment without an integrated chipset. There are now 2 Socket A integrated chipsets shipping with 2 more due mid quarter."

Not according to Joe Osha of Merrill Lynch !!!

He predicts AMD's CPU shipments will DROP by 2 MILLION UNITS in Q1 2001 !!!!

"Market share gains notwithstanding, we could not see sufficient demand to
support our previous K7 estimates of 7.2 million for the
first quarter, and cut our number to 5.5 million
accordingly. We had never really bought into the idea that
AMD was going to make substantial inroads in the
corporate market, "

So There !!
