Good find; thanks. I am not enamored of union involvement in elections.

One idea that I am beginning to lean toward is to bar all campaign contributions from any group: union, corporation, fraternal, whatever. Only individuals would be allowed to contribute to individual candidates and legitimate Parties only, no PACS. One person could contribute up to a prescribed total limit (tax deductible) for each office that the person is registered to vote for. Not registered, no tax deduction for contributions would be allowed. Maybe throw in some government matching $'s also.

BTW, this is a topical post; WAR on buying of politicians.

The Democrats have acted desperate since November 7; I suspect shenanigans in all departments headed by a Clintonite. The moral decay, begun at the top, has spread throughout. This is one reason for the vicious attacks on Ashcroft.
