I any case it's time to wake up. A put-and-hold-strategy has been very profitable in recent months, but exactly this could wipe out whole positions now as the indexes may not or not soon enough come back while time premium deminishes.

I think the point is: the stock market will MAKE the economy. If it goes up and holds, we will be back where we where in no time. If not, the whole recession scenario will play out. Incredible but true, it's really in the hands of the central banks and economic policy.

Sure, the debt load IS high, but if the "bubble" doesn't deflate or pop, NO ONE REALLY HAS TO CARE.

The rest of january will probably give a hint on the trend. I don't like the up/down trading stuff, I will make up my mind on the direction again and follow it with puts or calls.

Btw. any idea on ORCL? Need it at $30 to exit profitable...
