I lived in Chicago during the big snowstorm in late 1978 - early 1979 (I cannot remember which month it was ...)

People were doing chairs in shoveled out parking spaces then too.

I remember thinking -- some dishonest person could sure accumulate a lot of inventory for a used furniture store awfully quickly, if they wanted to ...

But, it never seemed to happen
